Please be aware of your child's schedule for Library and assist him or her in bringing both book and ID badge on Library day. The class schedule is on the Calendar page on this website. The fine for overdue books is $.10/day. Sick days and holidays are not charged. |

KINDERGARTEN THROUGH FIFTH GRADE Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade: Is learning to participate in storytelling. They are creating their own books. Each student will write and illustrate a short story. Students who have returned permission slips will have their stories entered in the Reading Rainbow Writers and Illustrator's Contest. Fourth Grade: Is learning how to use reference books such as the Atlas, Almanac, Encyclopedia, and Thesaurus. Fifth Grade: Fifth Grade is learning how to locate information needed for a bibliography in the on-line catalog. Did you Know? If your child has a public library card, you can access the library catalog from home to check for library materials. You can also place holds and renew books from home. In addition, you can use the library reference databases which contain encyclopedias, periodicals, and a wealth of information for all those projects! |
